Who We Are

The ge-ni network acts as a catalyst for collective innovation. It is run by Geneva Macro Labs and supported by the Canton of Geneva.

The initiative provides a dynamic platform for multistakeholder engagement in International Geneva.

Ge-ni builds on collective exchanges that followed the Geneva Trialogue roundtable in March 2023.

This gathering brought together diverse actors around a shared vision: “Building Open Innovation Commons for International Geneva.” Despite differences in structure and approach, everyone agreed on one thing: real progress happens when knowledge and ideas are shared, and when people work together.

Building on that momentum, ge-ni is now connecting the dots—mapping key players, uncovering synergies, and laying the foundations for lasting, cross-sector collaboration.

Geneva Macro Labs, a participant in the Trialogue roundtable, is uniquely positioned to carry this vision forward. The Canton of Geneva and the think-and-do tank have spent years breaking down silos, sparking collaboration, and fostering a vibrant community of change-makers.

Today, ge-ni is the next step in this journey—a catalyst where shared insights become action, partnerships take shape, and innovation flourishes across Geneva.

Who finances ge-ni?

The ge-ni network was launched by Geneva Macro Labs (GeMLabs) and is primarily funded through its membership fees. In 2025, GemLabs received a grant from the Canton of Geneva to launch ge-ni. The initiative also welcomes sponsorships to help advance its mission.
